What’s the point of doing something right away if I have to do more work?

If I don’t to something, I’m asked to do it… When I do something right away or on my own accord, I’m asked to do something else in addition to what I just did.

What’s the point of doing something right away or on my own? I mean: I have to do even more…

Wow! You are have reached the state of nirvana (a blissful spiritual state of consciousness) my dear anonymous friend! Enjoy it and go forth and use your wisdom to teach others!

You summed up life with three barely understandable sentences. I admire that! You are right of course — never do anything unless asked. You can of course pretend to work on something and merely complete it when asked, under certain circumstances.

In every-day speech it would all be called “flying under the radar”. Especially if you are in an environment where no recognition is given for hard work (e.g. marriage, the military or a faceless multi-billion dollar corporation), you have to know how the radar works, and act accordingly. Otherwise you will end up being nothing but a non-thinking drone, or a worthless stain in the shorts of the person you answer to.

My obvious answer to your question: there is no point… but I’m sure you knew that already.
