Do you have any tips on making online dating more efficient?
I like the idea of meeting people online, but I have no idea how to get passed all the turds floating around in cyberspace.
I’ve had very few even remotely interesting email exchanges on Match.com… Most initial contacts have been plain weird or freaky. Some have even been scary!

As you have discovered, online dating can be as time-consuming and aggravating (if not more so) than bar hopping… Instead of getting the attention of one or two turds per night, you might now have to deal with dozens: unless you know the tricks of course!
Always filter out guys that that say: “amazing!”, “astonishing!”, “incredible!”, “fantastic!” and “marvellous!”. These types of words don’t have any substance, and are often a sign of insecurity when used in dating. Even worse, they could be attempts at distraction you from more serious issues.
Secondly, always ignore guys that smile and show their teeth in pictures. In the animal kingdom, smiling/grinning is a sign of submission, weakness and insecurity.
Thirdly, never bother with guys that wear white socks! These guys are looking for a mother, and not a lover.
