How do I get my mother-in-law to lay off my pregnant ass?
My mother-in-law is on my case because I’m pregnant again (it’s our fourth child). She is constantly making snarky remarks about myself being pregnant “all the time” and that three kids would have been enough.
First of all, it’s none of her business and secondly: we want a big family — perhaps even 6-8 kids. We haven’t told her about this yet (as again, it’s none of her business).
How do I get my mother-in-law to lay off my pregnant ass?
Why the heck would you want to have 8 kids for? Are you building a tribe to take to war? Through history people had big families because they didn’t have access to prophylactics (or weren’t allowed to use them for religious reasons).
8 kids is not Rockwellian — it’s crazy! Perhaps you should find yourself another hobby in addition to pregnancies? People don’t strive for 8 kids in this day and age — you being obsessive about it shows how selfish you are.
It’s all about you and your belly, isn’t i? Of course your mother-in-law and every one around you will snicker about your selfishness and need for attention.
